I am delighted to share my story with fellow women, hoping it will inspire someone out there. I am 36 years old and a mother of three handsome boys. Although I am not married, I am currently co-parenting with their father.
I was born and raised in Botswana by a single mother who unfortunately passed away when I was about to write my final exams for high school. After her passing, I was raised by my grandmother who also passed away that same year. Despite the challenges, I persevered and completed high school. Subsequently, I gained admission to nursing school.
Although nursing was not my true passion, I dedicated three years to completing my nursing education. I worked for the government of Botswana as a nurse for 13 years. However, between 2018 and 2020, I experienced a period of immense hardship, often referred to as the dark night of the soul. The difficulties I faced during this time led me to seek therapy and coaching.
Through therapy and coaching, I embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery and healing. I confronted past wounds that had never been addressed, such as the loss of two influential women in my life who served as my pillars of strength. My mindset underwent a significant shift, allowing me to find my voice and personal power.
During this transformative season, I received a vision to pursue a career in natural health and holistic coaching, rather than solely focusing on physical health, as I had done in my nursing job. In 2021, I made the bold decision to resign from my nursing position and enrolled in a coaching certification program in South Africa. I began aligning my life with my values, placing more trust in my intuition. This newfound alignment and trust empowered not only me but also those around me.
Given the impact I observed from others sharing their personal journeys, I have been consistently open in sharing my own story on social media. It is my belief that vulnerability and sharing can have a profound influence on others and the world we live in. This approach also serves as a way of paying forward the inspiration I have gained from countless women who have shared their own stories.
I am eternally grateful for the progress I have made as a woman. The challenges I faced in my earlier years, which I once considered disadvantages, have ultimately become sources of strength and courage in facing life’s adversities. Everything has worked together for my benefit.
My dream is to expand my coaching enterprise and establish a cutting-edge wellness center that empowers women and young people, particularly in the realm of holistic well-being. I also aspire to collaborate with sisters worldwide on issues pertaining to women’s empowerment and personal healing. Additionally, I aim to write books and travel the globe, connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. To support the body of work I am building, I currently run a movement called “I Am Woman BW” and maintain a page titled “Natural Wellness with Gomolemo.”
In conclusion, I would like to leave a final message for any woman or person who comes across my story: never give up on the dreams within you. Nurture them and trust the inner compass that guides you. Your success is inevitable.
