I remember the first time I set foot on that luxurious yacht, feeling the salty breeze of the ocean against my skin. Growing up in Kenya, I never imagined I’d find myself amidst the opulence of private yachts, but fate had its own plans.

I was always drawn to the sea, its vastness calling out to me from a young age. My family couldn’t afford lavish vacations, but we lived close to the coast, and I’d spend hours watching the boats come and go, dreaming of exploring the world beyond.

Life took a turn when I got a job at a local marina, assisting with maintenance and cleaning. It was there that I met a seasoned sailor who saw potential in me. He offered to teach me the ropes, quite literally and introduced me to the world of yachting.I soaked up everything like a sponge, learning about navigation, hospitality, and the finer details of yacht and boat upkeep. My determination and passion didn’t go unnoticed, and soon, I found myself aboard my first private yacht as part of the crew.

The transition was exhilarating yet challenging. I had to adapt to the high standards of service expected by the guests, and fellow crew members who were already attuned to the standards of yacht life. I polished my skills in languages, cuisine, and etiquette, eager to ensure every guest felt at home on the seas.

The places I’ve been able to see were beyond my wildest childhood dreams. From the turquoise waters of the Caribbean to the stunning fjords of Norway, each destination had its own charm and left an indelible mark on me.

Yet, it wasn’t just the glamour of the job that kept me going. It was the connections I made, the stories shared by guests from diverse backgrounds, and the friendships forged with my fellow crew members. We became a tight-knit family, supporting each other through the challenges of life at sea.

Of course, there were tough moments too. The long hours, the demanding schedules, and being away from my own family weighed on me. But the thrill of the ocean, the joy of making someone’s journey unforgettable, and the new places and faces I got to see and meet kept the work interesting and fun.

After years at sea, I met someone who shared my love for adventure and wellness—a chance encounter during one of our stops in Spain led me to meeting my partner in love and business. We both craved a different kind of voyage, one that involved anchoring ourselves in a place where we could blend beauty, health, and tranquillity as he worked as a physiotherapist and had always wanted to expand his reach and touch other areas of wellness too.

In our talks, we realized we shared a similar vision. One where we both dreamt of creating a space where beauty wasn’t just skin-deep but connected to the overall well-being of both body and mind. The South of France, with its picturesque vistas and a cultural appreciation for holistic living, felt like the perfect canvas for our vision.

Setting up the clinic wasn’t without its challenges. We immersed ourselves in learning about various wellness practices also researching how we could stand out. But every hurdle was a step closer to our dream.

We aimed to curate a serene haven, a place where our guests could escape the hustle and bustle of life, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling rejuvenated inside and out. Our approach combined traditional skincare and wellness methods with modern techniques, focusing on natural, locally sourced ingredients, products and rituals whenever possible.

Working side by side with my husband has been an incredible experience. Our shared passion and complementary skills have strengthened our bond and our business. Each day, as we see our clients walk out with a renewed sense of confidence and serenity, we know we’re on the right path.

While our clinic is just opening, it has become clear that it isn’t just a business; it’s an embodiment of our values and aspirations. It’s a testament to the belief that true beauty radiates from within, nurtured by self-care, balance, and a touch of indulgence. And here, in the enchanting landscapes of the South of France, we’ve found our little slice of paradise to share this philosophy with the world.
