Here’s how my story goes: It all started in 2013 when I had an accident that changed my life and caused my left leg to be amputated. Since then, my life has been hard in a lot of ways. Because of the disability, my relationship with my mother got a lot worse. She treated me badly, which caused problems between her and my father. She often gave me things to do, like cleaning, washing, and getting water, even though I had to use crutches. She also made fun of my situation, often telling me that no one would want to marry a girl with only one leg and that my future looked bad.

But my father was always there for me and helped me through my college years. Sadly, my father died during my service year in the youth corps, and that was when my relationship with my mother went downhill. Her bad behaviour toward me got worse and worse until I ended up marrying the wrong person, who would beat me for every small mistake I made. There was one time when he beat me so hard that I passed out. I ran back to my parents’ house because I was afraid for my safety, only to find out that I was pregnant with my second child. My mother, on the other hand, kicked us out of the house, but a kind woman took me in. I was able to have my second child because of God’s love and the kindness of other people.

For a very long time I had to beg to feed my kids because I didn’t make enough money. I managed to find a job selling watermelon and that has helped me and my kids to survive. Since we broke up, the father of my kids hasn’t called out to me or shown any interest in how his kids are doing. Even though things are hard, I still think that God is in control and that I will be able to get through all of this. I have faith that things will eventually work out for me in the end.
