Sometimes, a single statement or remark may leave us broken in a world bound by many things. Tina, not her real name, was a victim of it all. She lived every moment of her life haunted by past experiences, which triggered her relationships with other people.
She had no idea about it as her life was nearly shattered. Her friends, whom she confided in, didn’t inform her. All she had were her family members, whom she relied solely on.
A dim light engulfed her heart as she wondered how to sort herself out. It wasn’t the first time she underwent one disappointment after another. It felt as if the load was getting heavier and heavier.
It is just a fraction of what any individual out there undergoes daily. There are moments when life tends to go south, and it takes quite a lot to get on your feet. We are all victims of going through such encounters, which render us in depressed states.
Then, our emotions run high, and we become so bitter that everything tends to make no sense. The world out here is the most significant barrier to our progress. It would be great if we knew how to unravel all that.
Broken pieces aren’t just the shattered items we break. The lingering memories of the wounds in our hearts leave an indelible mark. It may be grief, heartbreak, betrayal, or divorce, among many other things.
The most potent mechanism is venting it out to someone else. It will help ease the burden, and you will feel at ease. The most significant burden is waking up after everything has shattered.
Let’s be honest. The broken pieces within us aren’t our defining mechanism. They are a stepping stone that should serve as a lesson for forging ahead. It isn’t easy, but putting the pieces together requires a lot.
Let’s vow to put our broken pieces aside and forge ahead. It is the best we can do for ourselves and our lives. Our broken pieces are not meant to last forever. They are there to help us navigate through life’s challenges.
As human beings, we aren’t perfect. Mistakes should happen, and it’s up to us to take the required actionable steps. When your pieces collapse, that doesn’t mean the world’s end. Start on a new slate and realize how much it will impact you positively.
