There’s nothing I love more than a good smoothie. Which is why when I came up with this smoothie a few years ago (based on a smoothie I would often buy), I knew I would be making it for years to come. Fast forward to today and I am as loyal to this smoothie as I was when i started making it. As I’ve recently gotten back to working out consistently, I find that this smoothie gives me all the nutrients, energy and happy feels that I love. Not only does it taste super yummy (really its like dessert to me). But its healthy and packed with lots of good stuff too. If you are just looking for a breakfast smoothie, I’d suggest skipping the protein powder altogether. Otherwise, mix and match in what ever you feel you need and enjoy.
- 1 banana
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 scoop collagen powder (for healthy skin and nails)
- 1 tablespoon nut butter of your choice
- 1 teaspoon of cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 large handful of spinach
- 1 cup almond milk (try this recipe for my homemade version)
- 1/2 – 1 cup of water
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy. Adjust thickness by adding more or less water and again feel free to switch out any of the ingredients that you don’t like or need.
