Jewelry is a very personal thing. And often times, the right piece of jewelry can make or break an outfit. Which is why having a few key staples is key to looking put together, but also expressing your personal style. Finding what works for your life and needs can take some time, and I know first hand that its taken me years to figure out what works for me. Whilst I deviate every so often. There are some key pieces that I usually go back to. Below is a list of universally liked and recognizable jewelry staples that you can add to your closet for a put together and timeless look. Add this to your current faves. Or make them your every day go to. What ever the case, you can’t go wrong.

  • Hoop earrings: Nothing is more classic than a good hoop earring. Personally I like a gold hoop earring but you can play around with different metals. The great thing about hoops is that they come in a variety of thickness and size. So you can have a hoop for every occasion.
  • Signet ring: As someone who struggles to even wear their wedding band, I was not convinced of signet rings for a while. That was until I found one that was both stylish and timeless at the same time. You can wear your on any finger you choose and with the wide variety on sale these days. You can find one that suits you and your needs.
  • Timeless watch: Whilst most of us look to our phone for the time. Having a watch is a great way to cut back on screen time and also make you look put together. It also helps to look at the time more discreetly when in work settings or dinner dates when picking up your phone is a no no.
  • Heirloom necklace: The great thing about an heirloom necklace is that it can look like what ever you like. You can go for a locket to store pictures of loved ones. Or a simple chain to wear every day. What ever you do make sure to invest in the best quality you can buy. Especially if you plan to pass it on to future generations.
