POEM: Poverty and darkness

POEM:

Poverty you are so cruel

Poverty you take away joy

Poverty you control and take over

We fight you, we pray against you

We ask from the almighty to get rid of you, yet you poverty you stand still and ensure we feel your presence

I have tried all ways with the pros and cons but still poverty you find your way back into our lives

 

Poverty you are so cruel

Poverty you take away joy

Poverty you control and take over

We go to school to have control over you in the future

We further our studies to make sure there’s a safer route to escape you

With all we have been through and still going through, we are certain that our mutual goal is to escape you

As cruel as you are poverty, we still fight you and ain’t giving up no matter the trials.

 

Poverty you are so cruel

Poverty you take away joy

Poverty you control and take over

You take away the bread winners

You take away the opportunities

You take away the safe guard

You are uncontrollable, hard to fight but still we fight deep to pin you down

You wont have your way around the coming generation for we have seen you and are already planning for you

Ohhhhh poverty, how big of a pin you are to weigh us down but still we rise

Poverty you are so cruel
